In the Warm Springs district of Fremont, north Silicon Valley, Bay Area, Ca. WP and SP had transloads in the 70’s.
WP’s held about 30 cars, our’s held about 50…
Mostly chemicals, hazmat pla-carded tank cars and plastic pellets in covered hoppers.
Not much more than a mile apart.
They’re touting a 13 car transload. Is this an attempt at humor by the publicists?
I hated switching them: A-head, That’ll do …Back 'em up, 10 cars, 5 to go…1 more… that’ll do.
Take 'em a-head.
Give me a break; you do that for 45 minutes?

New Jersey where almost every square inch of land is spoken for. The remaining, especially in the northeast, where this loading facility is located, is at a PREMIUM. Geez, I’m glad they were able to get this small facility in place.
