Motivation and the train show

St Chuck just had a train show…I got lucky and did not have to pay to enter…

I found some O gauge MTH cars on 20% discount so I bought 3…but could not find any MTH track…I need more track for my Christmas train ,thats what I use O scale for…

Also bought a set of track alinement tools made out of plastic and I get to buy HO track at dealer costs for eternity…so if anyone needs Atlas code 100 let me know well make a deal…lol

Nice to get 10 pieces for a discount…now if I could just get turnouts discounted … but i have almost 100 not sure what the new layout will require

I understand the LHS has to make a profit…but seems to me they could be a little more aggressive about selling…it does them little good to have inventory on the shelf …maybe if they put together a package…buy 10 -3 foot code 100 get a #6 turn out for 20% off

As a person who makes money off of my rehab/ remodel labor… I have to make deals to get the opportunity to perform my labor…if I always held to my desired rate I end up making zero…but if I discount 10% I end up with 90% and i usually get the chance to add in a project because there always seems to be something that should be or could be done while the current work is being done…and I can get a little extra

My point is it is better to make a little profit of the one than to try to make all your profit off of one…

Seeing the Clubs layouts set up and running was awesome and inspiring…

Saw an HO modular layout( cant remember the club) they had a 96 coal car consist running with 4 engines-2 pulling 2 pushing…they had over 100 but there were car tracking issues…so inspiring to see that kind of action…

I have made more progress on cleaning up the train room…my sons Foosball table is now in his bedroom( was concerned we would hear the Clack clack clack boom of his practice shots over the t v but with his door shut…no problem…he was is in the top 10
