When NS took over Conrail, there was a lot of AC motive power also taken over. Since NS had mostly DC equipemtn, can a power consist have both AC and DC units in the same?
HI.When CSX took over the Conrail line in my home town sometimes they would use AC locomotives mixed wih DC one to haul out unit trains. Maybe they used what ever was handy.
i mostly see is dc power on the florida line. the old l&n railroad.
