Mounting NJ International Crossing Gates?

This may be one of those dumb questions, but just how are you supposed to attach NJ International crossing gates to the layout? They come with instructions that discuss the flashing LED’s and the activation of the gates using a Tortoise, but nothing about how to actually secure them to the layout so they don’t flap around when activated. Is it as simple as just CA’ing them to a platform? They are not cheap, so I don’t want to screw this bit up!

I use Goop or Loctite’s Handyman’s All-Purpose Adhesive Sealant, both of which can be purchased at any Wal-mart or similar store. And it doesn’t matter which type of Goop you use because they all seem to be the exact same formula whether the tube says Household, Plumbing, or Automotive Goop.
