Hello, I just purchased three cabooses and need to relocate the cars to another site in SC. The cars are located in Salem, SC and need to be relocated to Seneca, SC. Does anyone have any contact information for qualified groups or individuals. Thanks in advance smorehead@lycos.com
Talk to the railroad(s) that serve the two locations. If either (or both) is not served by rail, look for heavy equipment movers and the nearest railhead.
If the cabeese are rail ready and rail served, you’ll likely just incur transit and switching costs.
Otherwise you’re looking at loading and unloading, upgrades to make rail ready, as well as cartage, either in addition to or instead of the rail shipment costs.
