Moving, what to get rid model railroading wise.

Sorry for being late to the discussion. Great Q. How much can you take? I’d def pack up the cars/locos and anything sentimental. This includes anything you made yourself or obtained as a present from someone special.

yes I agree with N&W anything given to you by friends or family you must keep then go from there. sorry I’m so late to but hope it helps anyone moving.

Dawn and I looked at moving to a bungalow style house, but she loves this one so much.
Because Dawn is disabled a decision had to be made.

We upgraded our property by installing an elevator and other aids meaning she can still access all the house.

No dismantling of my layout is a bonus.

I’m glade you could stay in the house especialy if you raised your kids in that house, a lot of memeries .

Quoting an old post but yeah that’s one of the benefits of sticking to a particular era, locale, and railroad. It helped me cut down on a lot of impulse buys. I know when I was a young buck, I went through the phase of thinking trains are like Pokemon (gotta catch `em all!). It was fun but unfortunately, it led to loading up on a bunch of junk I didn’t really need.
