I was able to cross paths with a MOW train today at a time I had my camera, so I was wonderring what the following three cars did.

What is this? A mobile office? A storage car?

RCS Materials? Anything to do with Radio Control?

What is a system control car good for?

I don’t have the answers to your questions, but thanks for posting those pictures. [:)]
That ConRail box looks an excellent reference for any modeler wanting to recreate a nasty rusted look on a weathered car. CR 60316 would qualify as an honorary member of the Souhern Pacific freight car fleet
Check this out. They look to be movable storage containers. Probably to store welding material etc…
Store-Supply Car. A car equipped for handling material to be distributed for railroad use.
More photos are here at these links

They pretty much all store materials or tools or maintenance areas for the gangs or machinery with which they are associated.
RCS is 99.99% probably not associated with radio control.
The answer is probably on the rest of the cars in the train. Whatever type of gang that is.

First car is definitely not an office or bunk car since there’s no windows. Probably a tool or materiel storage car.
