1940’s looks…[tdn] boring.
Nothing 1940s in that shot at all.
The train is from the 1930s and the picture is from the 1970s.
Erie;
Do you have any other pictures from Bergen County, NJ?
Javier,
Lots of stuff… sure. I grew up in Bergen County.
I think if you click on the links below my signature, and then look at 1970s album at RR Picture Archives, and just search for 1970s on RP.net, you should find a lot of Bergen County.

Charles;
It gives me alot of memories. Did you like Susquehana R.R.?
Loved it… but it was a small short-line back when I lived there. The stacks came after I left.
your photos are outstanding,keep up the good work!
You’re not at all annoying. In fact, that B&W photo captures the essence of the old m.u. cars quite nicely. Thank you for the great photo.
I believe a few of those cars ended up in, of all places, Jackson, MO about 90 miles south of here. They were part of a small semi-working, semi-tourist line called the Jackson & Southern. I haven’t been down there for about 20 years so I can’t say if they’re still intact. The tourist line advertises itself as the St. Louis, Iron Mountain and Southern and I know they are still operating.
Again, thanks.
Boring would be 3 or 400 shots from different angles. Wish I could ride one of them today. They sounded like coffee grinders starting up. Almost like riding a trolley.
