MR Bonded Issues

I am looking for MR bonded (hard back) issues. I have contacted Kalmbach and they only have a three years. (and we orded all three) However I am trying to replace a colection of Bonded volumns and back issues (individual Mags) that belonged to my father going back to the 1960s and some years even before then. These issues were destroyed recently when his house burnt down (along with the train in the basement)
So anyone that has any suggestions where to look please let me know. I have some years on hand that I own but, not many. I have tried searches online at places Like Powels and Book Finder but the pickings are slim. I am mostly looking for the 1970 and 1980 as well as the late 90’s.

Once again thanks for any help/

They show up occasionally on ebay.

Regards

Ed

I believe the term is “bound” and not “bonded”. As in hardbound. Might make your search easier.

Sorry to hear about the house and the train. Hope no one was hurt. Can’t help with the mags. Just wanted to say sorry.[:(]

First off, [#welcome] to this forum.
I, too, am sorry to hear about the house and the trains.
I don’t really know where to suggest that you look for the hardbound books and back issues, but I didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to welcome you to the forum. It’s a great place to get information, even if you can’t find those back issues.

Doug - Currently eBay has listings for “bound volumes” of MR for the years 1964-65 and 1970-75. Bound volumes regularly appear on eBay at usually not unreasonable prices. One thing to be careful of, however. Some people list volumes of MR in wire “binders” as “bound”, which is something quite different. Always check with the seller to be sure what you are bidding on. Good luck with your quest, it really shouldn’t be too difficult to replace all the lost editions over the course of say several months.
