mr clean

can mr clean be used to strip paint ? rambo1…

Hi,

I believe more info is needed… What kind of paint is to be stripped (i.e. water or oil based)? What is the item to be stripped - or more importantly, what is it made of?

Mr. Clean would probably be too harsh for water base paint and too weak for oil based. That’s just my opinion, and I would certainly take a Q tip and test out a small portion beforehand.

It’s water based paint .rambo1…

and plastic model also .rambo1…

If Mr. Clean can strip water based paint of plastic, I DO NOT want to use it to clean anything in my house!!! It’d strip the paint off my walls and everything it touched!

Use 91% Isopropol rubbing alcohol {NOT 70%-won’t work}…cheap easy and quick and available at walmart or your fav pharmacy in the health and beauty section.

I’ve used Pinesol to strip old model cars I’ve bought. It works great but keep an eye on what your stripping, it can warp plastic if left to long. I use a old tooth brush after letting the car soak for 1/2 an hour or so.
