Thank you, MR, for giving us back the forum links line at the top of the page (the original ‘new’ format omitted the links). That’s a big help for navigating, at least for me.
I also admire the photo of the (Walthers) GN ‘Empire Builder’ at the top - as Walthers said when it released this first one of its ‘name trains’, this was and always will be the most beautiful train in the world - and a tribute to the Empire Builder himself, James J. Hill. The Great Northern, of course, was the only large railroad built almost entirely without government assistance, and as such was by far the most successful, well run enterprise of them all.
