MR Insider: December 2013

Sounds good. Looking forward to the creek project on the Thin Branch as this spring I want to address something similar on my layout.

I must admit that the opening threw me a bit - seeing a young lady around model railroaders is about like seeing one in a comic book store

As much as I’ve enjoyed reading Model Railroader off and on over the past 35 years, I do think it’s time you do a video presentation of building an HOn3 layout! With today’s Blackstone, Peco, Micro Engineering, and Micro Trains RTR rolling stock and track offerings, there’s no better way to connect with the younger generation who can still go to Durango and Silverton and Chama and Antonito and Golden to experience narrow gauge steam still in action!

I have never been to a comic book store, but I think that “young lady” was Jenny Massi, an attractive and refreshing face in MR Video Plus.

Merry Christmas to you all too. It’s so nice to hear Christmas this season.

love the Merry Christmas at the end, thanks!!

A lot to look forward to. Lets get Jennie in front of the camera. Please!!!

Merry Christmas to you all and thanks for the videos that my son and I find very inspiring! MR video is like having Christmas all year long…

Thank you for all of your efforts in bringing “live” model railroading to us. Keep up the good, no GREAT work! And thank you for saying Merry Christmas versus Happy Holidays. Christmas may be a holiday for most of the world, but it’s a holiday because it’s Christmas.

And Merry Chirstmas to all of you as well! Thanks for all the great articles and videos this year; MR and MRV+ are always a pleasure and a great way to keep in touch with my favorite hobby. Have fun with your families during the holidays…and have fun with your trains!

-Tom

Merry Christmas! For the record, I’m willing to bet that letting Jenny have her own segment will more than double MRVP’s membership!

Merry Christmas to all of you as well and to all of your subscribers too. Thank you for saying Merry Christmas, I think it’s wonderful to hear. A great big thanks for all of your efforts to bring some really great learning tools and tips to us. I’ve been trying to watch every video you all have and have found them to be of good value and have learned some really good techniques too. One last thing, thanks for keeping in the humor and not editing it out. It’s always nice to see a little humor now and then. The videos keep getting better and the magazine is improving too. Keep up the great work.

Merry Christmas to all you folks at MRR too. Subscribing to MRR Digital this year was one of the best things for a long time whilst finally at last starting the wonderful world of Model Railroading. MRV subscription next over Christmas. Invaluable help from you chaps so far and the amount of links have just provided so much useful information that have guided my planning. Keep up the great work.

I thank you so much for the fine work of all the staff this past year 2013. Especially refreshing to see such a smart lovely young lady(Jenny) have some screen time. She’ll be good for MR! Thank you for the great article in April MR on Will Darrow’s PRR layout. Also, you’ve put my fears to rest that some how, some way, MR had become too politically correct to wish us all a Merry Christmas! God bless you all for that. Manny, many of us were first introduced to model trains at Christmas and we’ll never ever forget those precious memories! A belated Merry Christmas, MR staff! Your work just keeps getting better and better.
