MR quick look: Atlas Model Railroad Co. HO scale Thrall gondola
First, this car is awesome in both detail and painting. The addition of the Kadee #78 draft gear boxes was also a very nice touch, however, Atlas definitely dropped the ball on the coupler height. As stated in the MR review, the coupler height on both my versions (decorated for David Joseph) of these cars were way too high (at least half a knuckle). In this day in age with the ability to manufacture products with the level of fine detail that is being achieved then getting the coupler height dead on car after car should be a given. Shame on you Atlas for letting this car go out the door with poor coupler height.
