MR quick look: Micro-Trains N scale Evans 100-ton covered hopper

I bought a few of these in the CB&Q paint scheme the other week. Beautifully made and the Micro-Train equiped couplers is certainly a bonus. However, the fact that it’s slightly under-weight sort of makes it not 100% reliable especially during operation in the yard and/or over switches. But still a nice piece of equipment.

Like almost all MT products, I find them to be excellent. The lettering is sharp and the details are clear. A good runner in spite of the weight variance. Overall, excellent. What I want to know is when did MT release these for the CB&Q? I’ve only seen MKT, Seaboard, and now FMC for Jan 07.

Clarification please? SAl and SCL had both become extinct by 1978. Would this Seaboard lettering indicate Seaboard Systems, or do these cars represent similar covered hoppers built c. 1964 when SAL was still in existence?
