A sad loss, I really enjoyed his publishing efforts.
I hope someone will pick up where he left off. Condolences to the family, as well as our thanks for allowing him to write so much.
A good customer of mine whom I never met personally, yet I was proud to consider him a friend. Rest in Peace, Ed!
I met Ed Lewis when he was running the Lamoille Valley out of a very modest office in the enginehouse and company headquarters in Morrisville, Vermont in the early 1980s. Ed genuinely loved railroads but was also very pragmatic. He foresaw the decline of the railroads in northern New England sooner and more accurately than many others, for example. Very sorry to read this news of his passing.
