I’m relatively new to this hobby. What do the measurements on the MR track plans mean? Some say 48" and 50" and so forth… is this the radius/curve measurement? Height of the bench work? Length of track used?
Confusing…

Usually, that’s the height of the track from the floor. Sometimes it is radius, but then it will be visually different from height measurements - i.e one’s in box and the other’s a circle, etc… Never seen it be length of track.
Enjoy

The dimensions in rectangles over the track are track elevations. On some plans they are measured from the floor, on other plans they are from an arbitrarly set 0 elevation. In my experence measuring from 0 is more common. While measuring from the floor may seem easier, note that not all floors are level.
