MRC 1660 N Scale sound decoder

HI all, Im having issues with an MRC sound decoder and was wondering if anyone maybe able to help. When I put it on the track it starts up fine, sound and all has all the bells and whistles. I run the engine (lifelike c liner) for two minutes and I cannot recall the engine again to change speed, or access functions, Its like it is just going on its own. So i have to shut the system down and restart it and its fine until it does it again. I was wondering if anyone could tell me whats going on with this.

There have been reports of similar problems with MRC decoders on these forums for the past two or three years.

I don’t think that’s the decoder, what DCC system are you using?

I have an atlas master commander. But I’m running Digitrax DN163KoA sound in lifelike E8’s and I’m not having any problems like this with them. I am going to try and reset the defaults with the MRC decoder and see if that solves the problem.
