I picked up a nice little MRC modle 100 DC controller this afternoon. The unit looks practically unused. It came in its origional box and stated that it was capable of running two trains. Can anyone tell me anything about the controller?

MRC Trainpack Model 100. I had one of those back in the 80’s. At the time it was the most powerful power pack I could lay my hands on. I used it for about five years before getting something else. It could run two trains for an extended period and could even run three for a short period before the breaker kicked in. Now, keep in mind that by train I mean one locomotive, so two trains = two locomotives total. I was running Athearn locomotives at the time and the beasts I ran most were an F7 and a GP35 with the older motors.
