MRC Syncro Sound Box vs MRC Symphony 77

Can anyone tell me the difference between the MRC Syncro Sound Box and The Symphony 77 Systems. Was the Syncro a good unit?

Thank you

BrianMarie,

I have no need,or want for either, but I did look them both up and the difference I see between the two,are that the Symphony 77,states that it has a 5watt ampllifier, with two speakers with a power supply,The Sound box,no mention of output, one speaker and you hook it up to your current power pack, thereby in my opinion, taking away from your power packs output…For a six dollar different price. I would think the Symphony 77 would be better,I only say that because of what you get for the money. I have no experience with either and have no Idea how one could judge, without hearing them…

Good Luck!!

Cheers,

Frank

Can’t speak for the Sound Box but I have The Symphony 77 and its useful for supplamental background noise on my layout (I have 2 DCC sound locos) Personally I never would have bought it since it is difficult to control sound and speed on different keyboards, but it was a gift.

I have the Symphony 77 and its predecessor, the Sound Station 312. Their main function–quite an important one–is to help assure that every small visitor to the layout can push a button and have something happen, even when there aren’t enough locomotives (or the visitor is just too small to run one). Kids like making noise, and this way they’re providing noise that’s more or less relevant.
