MRC Tech 4 350 or 280 ? Suggest

If anyone has seen or used these two, how do hey compare.

There is not much info on the MRC site.

350 - More powerful and programming available(although don’t know if that really helps). Momentum and touch pressure sensitive Brakes.

280 - Get to control two locomotives. Good in case I want to do some thing in yard, I can leave mainline as it is and move around in my yard.

Correct me if I am wrong and suggest, what do I do ?

a novice, so please dont mind if ended up saying something stupid.

Hi
Back when MRC just had the Tech 4 250 and 350 i decided to get the 250. Because it was less expensive. But the 350 has more power and is programable like the 250 but also has memory. The 350 also has more power. I don’t know much about the 280 but i was pleased with the 250 which i assume is like the 350 in alot of ways. Also the 250 has an optional walkaround throttle which i think the 350 has also. The walkaround throttle is for me the most handy feature. If i were you i would go with the 350. My 250 has run great for many years. The programable features of the 250 and 350 are neat also. I don’t use the programable features very often. But i love the walkaround throttle.

I just picked up the 350 and really like it. I had the Tech2 dual controller and couldn’t get my trains to climb a grade at a realistic speed, now my loco’s climb like no tomorrow. Look at the box or specs and see what the VA rating is on the Dual you find it lower hence a lack of performance. Good luck.
