I got the Walthers Paper Mill kit and, even more precious, an afternoon uninterrupted to work on my layout while the wife wrangled the baby. I also got the requisite ties, of course!
Anybody else get some cool MRR Fathers Day stuff?

Found the time to finally decorate a few B&M box cars and my Fresh Pond Ice Company reefers. For those looking, the B.E.S.T. decals are very good. ( www.besttrains.com )
Waiting for the Micro-Set to dry and clearcoat.
I had all my girls under one roof for the first time in several years (wife and three daughters). That was the gift I had been waiting for. [8D] MRR related was that the eldest presented me with a nice wooden Pairie 2-6-2 that actually looks quite good…a lot of work went into it.

I got to spend the afternoon with my new grandson! Train related? Sure. He’ll want time to spend with his grandfather “working on the railroad”! [:)]
[Edit: Someday…]
My eldest son got me the book China’s Great Train: Beijing’s Drive West and the Campaign to Remake Tibet.

Thats pretty nifty! Do you need to build one of those wood track layouts now? I can’t wait for my kid to be old enough for those so I can build switching puzzles with them… err… I mean… I can spend quality time playing with him and his trains ![]()
