Maybe if enough people take part Microsoft will put out MSTS 2.[:D]

This is a incredible waste of time and pixels. MSTS2 is DEAD, paramedics are not going to be able to use the paddles and get it going again.

TMTS and, maybe, TA’s will take up the slack.

And, who is going to take you seriously? If you want to be taken seriously, learn to spell and correct grammer.

They’ll do nothing. As someone who was involved as a researcher/writer in mid-2003 for MSTS2 (primarily British Rail, Penny’s Horseshoe Curve, and JNR games), I can say categorically that MTST2 is dead, kaput, not coming. It’s not X-box material, and it’s obituary was written in late 2003.

Too bad, because the new scenarios and equipment were quite interesting, especially the BR game.

Yes, because I enjoy the first and I know second will be even better since they “upgrade” stuff. I hope a second edition is released—so I voted: “Yes- I would like an MSTS II.”

Ah-hem…Grammar.[8] I voted Yes. MSTS1 was pretty good. I doubt they’ll release a second though.

Let’s not start a war. Please. More often than not comments like people have made seem to create the largest flaming wars ever. And that leads to posts being zonked by the powers at be([bow]…With all due respect[:D]…[bow]).

There’s enough add-ons for MSTS 1 that we don’t need MSTS 2.

MSTS 2 is DOA, and nothing/no one can change that., I’m aftraid. [sigh]

MSTS 2 would be nice, but there was really no use making this poll. Waste of mega-bites.

Okay, what’s all this jiberish about MSTS 2 being “dead??” How can it be dead if it wasn’t invented yet?? It doesn’t make sense!!

Hey all, yes it would be nice if MSTS2 came out. In a way it is not dead. Train Artisan to my knowledge was helping to make MSTS 2, since it was canceled they went and started their own simulator. Which includes some of the locomotives that were to be included in MSTS such as the PRR K-4. However in a way thier is a MSTS 2, its not called MSTS its called “Rail Simulator” however this simulator will not be sold in North America, when first released. Because Microsoft killed it.
The unfortunate thing is that all the folks working on new sims, including those who worked on MSTS (except perhaps KUJU?) have to reinvent the wheel and start from scratch.

Okay as the person who started this poll let me tell you what I know.

  1. MSTS 2 was made there was a showing of it at E3 (a video game convention)
  2. 3D cab people better grafics and backwards compatabelty make it better then the first MSTS.

  4. Rail Simulator has nothing to do with MSTS evean thoe it is made by some of the same people who gave us MSTS they have to start from scratch Micro$oft owns the coad (which they arent evean going to use so why not sell the rights to MSTS 2?)
  5. Train Artesan is also makeing there own train simulator

Microsoft built MSTS2 and even tested it. They have something. Either release it or give it to others who would develope it. I WAS an MSTS hard core person but now have changed over to Trainz. It can do even more than MSTS ever could.
