[#offtopic] Hey everybody… A real quik question about Microsoft train simulator. I know this off topic of MR, but since all of you are train buffs, i figured someones gotta have it!! I recently purchased it and installed it on the puter…now i know there are add-ons and stuff but i dont know what im supposed to have on the original copy. I dont think its the original game cause i dont have a track maker… or whatever. So i guess my ? is… how do i install all the add on loco’s and stuff to the game? And where do I save them to? And where can i use em? I did a google search of add ons and came across 3dtrains.com and railserver that have downloads, but some are free and some are not. This MSTS is new to me… so sorry if these questions are dumb.[oops] If anyone can help me out or give me some good general info on the game…cool. Also if you know of any good loco’s or scenerio’s to DL let me know too!! Thanks guys in advance.
I am one of the developers for 3DTrains. Have been doing it since 2002 as a second source of income (sometimes 1st with this economy). Anyhow, I recommend, since you are a new user to MSTS, that you visit www.Train-Sim.com. This was pretty much the first website dedicated to Microsoft Train Simulator, and remains very active to this day. The file library there is HUGE (including some items by yours truly). While there join the forums and start reading up. There are many users there who are willing to help new users get going. Our forums, at 3DTrains.com, are also quite active with many users who will step in and give you a hand should you need it.
