MTA completes boring on tunnel projects

Great to see a major project like this nearing completion!

Yes, even though it’s been paid for 2 or 3 times over due to inept management. Ooh wait maybe it’s part of the plan?

Don’t get too excited, Mark. 2019 is the completion date now and probably will be way beyond that.

They were proposing this when I was a kid in the 1960’s. Nice to know I may actually see service on some of these lines in my lifetime.

Sometimes I wonder about project planners. THe tunneling stopped approximately 800 feet short of the Amtrak and LIRR line from Penn Station to the east river tunnels. Why not make the connection? It would have been another way to get to Long Island and the Hell Gate bridge route to New England. Oh Well!
