MTA proposes 2015 budget, four-year financial plan
The 16.5% is over 6 1/2 years. Fares have or will go up several times in that time.
Raise the MTA fares 4%. Raise the union pukes wages 16.5%. That doesn’t compute. Thanks, Andy-the-Panderer.
I wonder the pay scale of the unionised “pukes” employed by whatever firms got contracts for the construction of Prince Andrew’s pride and joy, the new, and transit-less, Tappan Zee Bridge. And those unionized “pukes” unlike the MNR, LIRR, and NYCTA unionised “pukes”, don’t I suspect, have to work afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts in whatever ugly weather conditions Mother Nature decides to throw at them.
Lets not call union people with a blanket statement

I realize we can’t expect to scrub all the political discussion from this forum. A certain amount of it is pertinent to the issues being presented. You however (after a period of relatively good behavior) seem to be back at your old practice of casting inflammatory, derogatory political rhetoric. That is not acceptable on this forum Quit now, before you end up like Guse. Gone.
I’m disappointed in the bile that is being spewed by my fellow bloggers against unions. I think that you guys would want us to go back to the bad old days when people were paid in cents rather than dollars. It’s bad enough that these people have to work nights, weekends, and missing family events. These people should be compensated for their sacrifices.
