MTH C 628 Diesel . Any one have this Engine ? What Do you think of it ?

I bought one of the RailKing 628s with LocoSounds and reviewed it in the Feb 05 issue (in a comparison review with two other value-priced diesels) in the Feb 05 issue.

I tend to be a tight-wad, so I didn’t need the enhanced PS2 sound system, but the speed control was terrific. It is a good, basic loco. And yes, it got repainted. Years back, Weaver also offered one of the big Alcos, and I have that model, too.
