I do not agree that MTH should switch to Kadee couplers. They provide the place to mount them so if you want them then put them on, not everyone wants them. I also am pleased that MTH uses oversize wheel flanges which helps keep the engine on the track. When the engine is outside on the ground I can not notice the wheel flanges, but I would notice my train derailing do to my trackwork.
I purchased mine from side track in leonardtown md. It is the brunswick green 5 stripper. At this time it is on static display with other cars attached. All who see it and it’s sounds are impressed.

Buyer beware! I bought the GG1 from a “reputable” mail order dealer only to have ended up with a used, and broken one (both drive trucks fell off when I unpacked it!). A second replacement was no better (it didn’t run and pantographs were broken and failed to work). The price was relatively low and obviously these were re-stocked items not tested by the dealer. I wish I had purchased the GG1 from a local dealer since the mail order dealer refused to answer complaints after sending me the second broken unit. Any way, MTH rose to the challenge and did an excellent job of fully putting the GG1 in new running condition at no cost, even free shipping. I really like the GG1, it’s a winner, and the MTH service was terrific.

Hello From the Netherlands,
Is there a way to convert the DCS to DCC?
