MTH HO Scale Freight Cars

I had been going along thinking MTH was just O scale…boy was I wrong!

I bought a BN flatcar with a frone end loader for about $30.00. Which is pretty good considering a CAT Front End Loader will run you about $15-20 bucks and a walthers flatcar maybe $20-25.

It blows every freight car in my fleet AWAY!

It has a full anglecock and airhose.

The axles spin. Like on real cars.

Very nicely tooled.

Came with chains and everything!

KEEP’EM COMING MTH!

my LHS, MRPO, stocks Norscot models on flats put out by Norscot - probably the same, but UNDER $20!!![:O]

Now that was dumb of me!!! It’s a Norscot on a lowboy tractor trailer!! Still a good deal though. The Norscot models include a road grader, bucket loader, and excavator!

I wasn’t aware of MTH HO freight cars. Is there much of a selection, as of yet? And if so, what ‘era’ are they primarily producing? I would think that with their steamer selection growing, that most of the freight cars would be either steam or Transition era.

Tom

Very minor selection, a few construction vehicles on flats, some wethered flats blank, and all Modern. and the Daylight Coaches. Maybe. If we ever get a set of those.
