MTH J cab light

I purchased an MTH J off of ebay a year+ ago off ebay, from an authorized reseller. Then, I unexpectedly moved.

I’m unpacking it and playing around with it, and I noticed that it is listed as having a cab light. But I never see it on. I’ve tried F5, and it turns on the class lights on the front of the engine, but not the cab light. I thought maybe it didn’t have one, but it looks like there’s an LED in the cab roof. On youtube, I’ve never seen a video where I could see the cab light.

Does this engine have a cab light? Is my LED busted?

I don’t have one, so I’m not sure. But you should call MTH and see if they can help you.

I got in touch with MTH, and they confirmed that their J does not have cab light, despite the catalog and literature saying otherwise.

Keep in mind those engines that do have a cab light the light only works when the engine is at a stand still,does not work when moving.
