I just received my K-4 and it sounds and runs great. Question. when you initiate the station announcements it seems that you must let them run their course before you can initiate the horn, or bell. Is their a way you can shortcut this?
I believe that’s true (Can’t shortcut it) also on my O scale MTH engine.

Most of the sounds I tried on the DCS version 2. must finish before another one starts. Does the manual talk about the functions or options like the station sounds?
Does it run as slow as the review in Model Railroader? What DCC system are you using?
If you have time, give us a review of the engine. Most of us have not seen them and probably would like to know more about the new product.

If ProtoSound 3.0 operates like ProtoSound 2.0 does…You cannot bypass or shortcut the PFS (Passenger or Freight Sounds) without completely powering the locomotive down.
You’ll start the PFS sequence, and it will run through a variety of sayings and then should control itself for about 15-20 bell counts or so (ProtoSound 2.0). Switching the direction of the locomotive should advance it through its 3 part PFS sequence.
That is a disappointment. My Tsunami and QSI decoders will process two sound demands at the same time. Just minutes ago I initiated steam hiss and had a full length whistle sounding at the same time.
