MTH RealTrax Isolated Rails

I have been having trouble with the MTH RealTrax 40-1029 ‘10" Insulated Straight Section.’

It actually consists of two 5" sections that have all three rails cut. Fahnstock clips underneath allow rails to be bridged or isolated.

The problem is, the rails can shift a little and make inadvertent contact at the break.

My thought was to use some thin double-sided tape in the break, but I thought I would throw the problem out to the forum to those that have more experience with this track system than I.

Elecitical tape, trimed to the rails, is most likly your best bet, IMO.

The tape works. I have done this on the contacts between track sections, too.
