Can anyone provide some information regarding the lack of availability of MTH Realtrax? Mainly the straight Sections. I am from the Harrisburg, PA area and the hobby shops around this area are out of 10" and some of the shorter sections as well. Some of the web sites I have ordered from in the past are out as well. Thanks.
It is hard for the train companies to keep up with demand at this time of year. And it is hard for train shops to project out how much inventory of everything to keep on-hand (they don’t want to get stuck with huge inventories after the holidays).
I have found it is best to plan in advance and then send my LHS a list of what I will need. He will order what I need, and keep some extra stuff on-hand because he knows I change things up after I place the order… and he knows I’m about to start construction on a very large layout and he knows he won’t have the track instock very long… [:)]
If you know what you need, send me an email and I can check with my LHS (he is an MTH dealer and I don’t use RealTrax so I won’t be competing for that business!)
Robbies Hobbies in Columbus OH always has the track I need, except I wiped them out of 5.5" sections. They have plenty of straights in stock. Good guys to work with.

Plenty at Todd’s Train Depot in Wendel NC. I bought several 10", 5" and 30" sections for the layout for the kid’s layout.
