I just picked up this bad boy, and I know I can run a universal consist on my NCE DCC system, but what about working the ditch lighting effects? Does this work independently of the headlights?

I have a Power Cab Pro system, and it has the ability to access functions F1-F28, which are all the extended functions like extended startup, shutdown, brake sounds, cab chatter, coupler close and even the clickety-clack.
The ditch lights flash when you hit F12 for the grade crossing… AWESOME!!!
I can’t get the extended address to work though, tried several times by programming on the main.
I’m getting another one in two weeks.
