i really dont know if i should chance another engine from MTH. i bought the triplex,shoddy workmanship,pickup shoe loosened and fell wish jammed engine to stop.coal fell off tender,headlight broken.other than that engine can pull and does look good.trouble no buffalo,ny dealers or repair shops.

I Love the look and sound of all MTH engines but I have tons of trouble with the pick up shoes braking off and causing derailments on the turn outs.
Also they are too light I have had to add weight to ALL of my MTH engins. I’m hoping MTH has done there home work on the VO I have one on order.
