MTP Adjustable Gear Puller Specs??

If anyone has one of the Mascot Precision Tools adjustable gear pullers, could you measure the diameter of the spindle that butts up against the pinion shaft when pinion gears are pulled, & let me know what it is, in mm?

Could you also measure the maximum distance between the jaws & the front of the spindle so I can work out the longest pinion/item I can use it on.

Thank you

Well, if have the H220, the dimensional information on page 31 of the following link,

http://www.grobetusa.com/ProductDescriptions/MascotCat.pdf

indicates that the post is 7/16 inch. But this does not seem to be a correct dimension, as the gap in the stationary frame is dimensioned as 1/8 inch. The last page of the referenced link has a telephone number, so you should try calling there.

Also following is a link to the Northwest Shortline gear puller. http://www.internethobbies.com/noputo.html (Link is to the picture only…no comments about that vendor are necessary as that is a different subject.) Anyhow, a little more dimensional information is given there.

You are on your own for the conversion to metric dimensions.

Thanks for Links.

As regards inches to mm conversion , the table below may assist.

It covers from 0.0135" to .75", or 0.3429mm to 19.05mm as well as equivalent Drill size.

Actually, the following link is a better place to go for conversion information:

One of many places, actually.

No telling when you might need to convert metric kilotons to cubic furlongs.
