Are MU Cars (Budd RDC, M1s, ACMUs, MP54 ect…) considered to be locomotives or rolling stock? This one has me stumped.

Well I consider locos and cars and MUs rolling stock. That’s not to say I’m right though. It just seems to me that if it has wheels it is rolling stock.[8D]

I’d call a trailer or coach rolling stock, as well.

The FRA considers them locomotives

OK, so are locomotives considered rolling stock?

I would consider locomotives, just locomotives.
