modeling a cow-calf hookup such as the MP1521/MP1420 combination and I need hookup information for the connections between the units.
Cow and calf would be plain old MU connections.
Master and slug would be the MU connections plus power cables for the traction motors, etc. and fuel line if the slug was used as a tender.
If you are talking about Mopac engines the “calf” isn’t a calf, its a slug. The MP did not use its switcher slugs as fuel tenders.
