Has anyone out there attempted to make or design flexible (realistic) MU hoses for their HO locomotives. All the ones I see out there for sale are plastic or etched material (stiff). I am pondering some very thin gauged black electrical wire about the same thickness as the harness wire that comes on my decoders (.027in.). I will then need to come up with a glad hand to attatch to the wire end? Who knows, just an idea.

The ones from Detail Associates or Details West are very nice ones made from soft white metal. I paint them a brownish-black or blackish-brown (is the glass half full or half empty?), leaving the ends unpainted. You could paint them a light orange (to replicate the cadmium plating some hose end manufacturers use)… The metal is very soft and easy to shape.
