I’ve seen the piston rods cut on a few Big Boys; can someone give the reason for the cutting rather than dismantling?

I was at the Frisco, Tx. site of the MAR yesterday, Apr. 16th. The company doing the ground prep. has been slowed by the recent rains. A move of equipment by mid-May or the end of May seems a very TALL order in my opinion. Hope for good weather…
