Posting it here since there is no “anything goes” Just wonderin what kinds of music you all listen to. I listen to punk/heavy metal
Old stuff, George Winston, Herb Albphert, Classical, and some pop.
Classical…BIG TIME. I also compose it; play the piano and harpsichord; and perhaps one day I may train to conduct an orchestra.
I listen to alternative rock. The groups Fall Out Boy, Hawthorne Heights, The Click Five, and the no longer together Blink 182 are my main bands. I used to be into rap, but that is way out of my type of music, because as i always say, “I’m too white to be black”. [(-D]
Mostly rap and hip hop here. Also like some Greenday and Simple Plan songs.
Classical and Ragtime.
Since I work a lot with steam locomotives and historic restorations, it should be obvious.
Classic Heavy Metal.
But seriously, any music with some life to it, metal, jazz, big band, rock, etc.
I like to play my old Dr Demento comedy tapes while building kits.

I enjoy the music of Lennon and McCartney
also enjoy Kiss and hearing teen girls faking It
Rap, 50’s, 60’s hip hop, Judas Priest, some 30’s and 40’s. Aint i wierd? But my main is rap.
Alec
Classical (except some composers), swing (I work on a steam locomotive on weekends–what a suprise!), hymns, classical, folk. Don’t mind ragtime either. The steam locomotive symphony isn’t bad!
Country& Western,Bluegrass,ocassionally Jazz,and Contemorary Christian,if it’s not too rocky
Alternative Rock(Also called Alt Rock, or just Alternative), Classic Rock, Metal, Hard Rock(Different from metal), basically rock. And Classical too. I REFUSE to listen to that Satan-worshiping music. Some of the music I listen to may not be the cleanest, but it certainly isn’t devilish.
I like Fall Out Boy
I listen to older bands like BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS, MAYNARD FERGESUN(I play the trumpet, and he is my idle when it comes to trumpet) LIVING COLOUR , CLASSIC ROCK, like GRAND FUNK RAILROAD, and I also listen to the BEATLES>
People tell me I have a Beatles haircut…
Stupid me!!! I forgot to add to add the ALL AMERICAN REJECTS. I love the song Dirty Little Secret. AMFLEET, what songs do you like from them? I like most of them on their newer CD, as a matter of fact i am listenng to them right now.
Classic country & bluegrass. Favorite artists are Cash, Jennings, George Jones, Porter Wagoner, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Bill Monroe, Hank Williams. In my opinion, Willie Nelson and Hank Jr are very overated and cannot sing a tune.
Mainly guitar music, from rock to jazz and blues. Many favorite artists like Chieli Minucci, Earl Klugh, Doc Powell, Eric Clapton, the great Chet Atkins. Love all my old Fleetwood Mac too.

Blink-182 broke up?
Most classical (although the older I get the less patience I have to sit thru an entire symphony), some Country (esp. Patsy Cline and the crossover pop of the seventies (Dolly Parton, Eddie Rabbit)), a little bit of bluegrass if it’s really good; a great deal of Jazz (I get lost in the early Seventies and can’t understand anything post “es’ Brew," a great deal of Pop, especially oldies or remakes of hits from the Sixties and Seventies, ditto Motown/R&B from the Sixties and Seventies; and anything novelty or “patter” like “Life is a Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me).” I enjoy listening to the “we play whatever we want to play” station; and sometimes “Alternative” seems anything but for me (cover of “Ma-na-ma-na”). I tolerate some rap or hip-hop but usually mentally file the kind I like under “action poetry” rather than “music.” And I must admit I like a lot of show tunes, such as the songs from “Guys and Dolls” and " Yankees.” The Beatles are still my favorite pop/rock group.
I’m beginning to understand why the record club has over a dozen different categories!
