2PM (CST, noon PST)on a Friday afternoon and there are more members out here posting than I’ve ever seen at one time![:D] What gives, I don’t work, what’s your excuse? I didn’t mean it in a bad way, as if to imply that any one was goofing off, It just struck me as being an odd time for so many people to be on. As for myself, I’m always goofing off, you should see the dishes piling up.[:p]
Yeah, dude. I saw it said 18 users on line a few minutes ago. I am unemployed at the moment.
Its 3:17 here in eastern Pennsylvania.
No I just forgot to log out. SORRY[:I]
I was in the basement ripping out old track c/w road bed/ballast (that hurt)laying a spline (first one) and alligning two curved turnouts. Not bad for an afternoon’s work.
Now to do house work before the misses gets home.
Gee Fergie, I must never logout, because I never have to log in. I wonder if the light is on in my refrigerator, I better go check. [swg]
I really should go clean up my messes too, but I would rather work on my layout.
Didn’t go to work today, had some minor surgery, if you really want to call it that.
Haven’t gotten there yet but as far as logging out what I meant was I just got up and left the computer on the forum sight. I think I’m spending far too much time on this sight![#offtopic]
I pop in and out throughout the day sometimes because I work from home. I only head into the city for work-related obligations once a month if I’m lucky. This affords more time to head to the forums. Whose going to tell my boss–the dog?[(-D][(-D][(-D]
I am ahead of most of you for about 7 hours [(-D]
as I post this I am having morning coffee, when I log in when I get up most of you are sleeping or may thinking about it, And I can check out what you all been up to last night [(-D]
but I noticed the rush-hour and maybe because I am in europe the connection slows down when it is busy on the Forums (or is it fora)[:-^]
My lips are sealed Super Chief ![;)][tup]
Lupo, I thought about you when I wrote that. Your “normal workday” was already over. Oh yah, I was awake when you edited your response. I’ve also noticed a lot of your fellow countrymen on here. Is model railroading the national pastime of Holland?[swg]
I get out of school at 2:20, so I’m usually on here about 3:00.
BB4005,
There are quite some MRR’s overhere, and I think the average Dutchman has many free hours, because the working week overhere is 5 days from 9 till 5
[8D][8D]
Has anyone else noticed that that whiley old Nederlander has done something to perpetuate the ** bashing thread – against our esteemed monitor’s strict instructions !!
[:)][:)]
Thanks L-**-O
[:D][:D]
Who reads instructions?
I understand which instructions you are reffering to[swg]but isn’t that true of all instructions? Step one, open the box, step two, throw away all the papers, step three, scratch your head over the pile of extra parts[%-)][banghead][(-D][(-D][(-D]
L-**-O, 9 to 5 is the general idea over here too, last time I checked. Of course I am a supreme violator of that premise, since I wake up[oops]awaken at 9 and take a nap at 5, and then stay awake til 3AM, which translates to your morning cup of coffee.
Hey gang, this is what I’ve been doing when I haven’t been on line or sleeping.

This is a 10’ diameter 3 rail O guage double track helix.
That’s a beast - is that the full height or is it going to get higher?
What size is the rest of your basement?!
I just finished putting another 90 degrees of benchwork on it. The outer track will exit just about where that broom handle is. The inner track will have an exit near the front, via a turnout, and will continue up to 72" above the floor. You can just make out a blue chalk line on the wall above the ladder on the far left. That’s 72" off the floor.
The silver rod in the center is a piece of electrical conduit, which serves as the pivot for my compass arm. The arm is simply a piece of pre drilled heavy guage metal strapping secured to the rod by an eye bolt. You can just see the tip of it hanging down at the top of the photo, above the chalk line.
The train room is 38’ x 46’, but the basement is much larger.[:D]
[8D] wow BB4005 that quite some space, would like to have a basement that big,
but maybe that’s a bit dodgy when you allready live 10-15 feet beneath sealevel. . . . . [;)][;)]
Surgery is minor if it happens to someone other than YOU
Lupo, there’s always a full length representation of the Chunnel in N scale, though viewing would take scuba gear.[:P][swg]Then again maybe not, you could never get the plaster rock castings to dry[banghead][(-D][(-D]
