My athearn Sd70mac Problem

I have had my trusty conrail sd70mac from for about a year now, and when i was building my new layout, I noticed that the the ditch and headlights were not working, when i bought the locomotive the headlights and ditch lights worked great. I first took the shell off and checked all the wires to see if they were disconnected, yet they weren’t. Ive tried to fix it and it just won’t work!! What do I do?

~Thanks

Long Live Conrail!

DC or DCC?

If it’s a DCC locomotive, press the FL, Headlight, or Zero button on your controller, depending on which button your DCC system uses to turn the headlight on.

Dc , can be DCC equiped

Hmmmm…I suspect a bad wire connection, or burn out bulb…

How would you replace the blub [banghead]

I think I have it! I can email athearn ,and or take it to my local hobby shop!

Should of thought of that before… [#dots]

It is very hard to solve a locomotive problem with insuffecient information. There are many things that might be wrong, and depending on what configuration you have purchased, many answers to said problems.

Any more suggestions?

Need input.

Nooo Disassemble![:)] Sorry, I couldn’t resist the “Short Ciruit” reference.

That was a great little movie… I wasnt sure if anyone were left alive to recognize that little bit.

I have had my engine reapaired rencently. Apparrently it was the the Dc board shorted out the lights.

Sadly,The first run of SD70s suffered faulty bulbs …My headlights burnt out after 2 trips across the layout…These 2 spartan cab NS units is the only Genesis I own…No,not because of the headlight issue…Its because I like the RTR locomotive selection better.[:D][tup]

FIXED

Finally gettting my layout working, starting the landscaping. The sd70mac is doing great, turns out i had a faulty dcc board in it. lol atleast its fixed
