Well I finally found the time [and money] to get my first BIG bridge done [one mre to go]. Pop over and enjoy it. Comments here are very welcome. Thanks and have fun
It looks like somewhat tedious work but the results are very nice. I liked the final “down the tracks inside the bridge” shot.
Dave Nelson
Very impressive for sure!!! I was so impressed by your site I have bookmarked it for future reference for when I eventually get to build my “Big One”.
Thanks so much for sharing and congrats on loosing that 20lbs, I know how hard it is to do.
Dave thanks a lot. I liked that shot as well. I placed the camera on the rails for that one.
Altoona, thanks for the bookmark, I am humbled.
As for the weight sheesh i forgot I had that there LOL. You know what? You are the only one ever to have commented on that LOL. Thanks for noticing
Nice work, Stephen! [:)][tup] That will definitely be a (or the) center piece on your layout. Ain’t scratch-buildin’ great! [^] Keep up the good work…
Tom
Very nice work, Stephen. What satisfaction to create something as intricate, and yet as functional, isn’t it?
Tom thanks and yes I do think scratch building is great. One of the [many] reasons I switched to O scale actually.
Seneca, yes it is. Not as much detail as i want though. I ordered some NBW for the posts and they have not come in yet.
SO still some detain to add yet. But mostly it is done.
Thanks every one for your comments:)
Sorry… but i’m confused!
Where’s the photo?
There is a URL in his text that you must right click and copy to your browser. It’ll open on a new page. Find his links to the MR stuff.
Edit- I have pasted it here for you as a hyperlink. I hope it works.
selector, thanks for that. Mush appreciated.
Alex, I always have the latest thing on my front page if you just scroll down. Itis the fastest way to find something on my website.
Sorry to confuse you.
I hope you find it and like it.
Thanks for the link!
The bridge looks excelent!
Alex, thanks for the compliment.
Your website looks cool too. Hard to believe what you can fit into a module. I seen a few at the train show here as well.
Keep up the good work.
Very nice work Stephen
Great Detail
Looks like you had lots of fun !
Crandell, Thanks for the tip. I was having trouble finding it too.
Stephen, Great job. I was great to share you details. You can be proud.
Sue
NICE bridge! I find the quality of work so many of you here are doing to be almost mind boggling. Soooo much to learn. Thanks for sharing your work.
[C):-)] Rob
What a masterpiece! Isn’t it great how, with a bit of effort, you can get exactly what you want! I too have had the pleasure of scratchbuilding a Pratt truss bridge [in brass]
Terry fun I suppose so, hmmm well mostly yeah LOL Thanks for the compliment.
Sue no no, no bowing, I have a wife now LOL. thanks for the compliment.
Rob not really, most of all you ever need is a small book, we exagerate a lot to make it look more complicated then it really is. Think of mud pies on the beach as a kid and you get the idea LOL.Thanks for your compliment.
Ken, a masterpiece is a bit much, but thanks just the same. I appreciate it
Fuuuuunny.
My husband, Larry and I were both impressed. He is about to undertake a scratch built one and we are looking at all the bridges that we can find.
Thanks for sharing.
Sue
Sue, you are welcome
Larry thanks to you as well
