My dream come true

a while back I posted a comment about a LIVE webcam WITH sound and guess what I found,

http://www.railcam.nl/

click on railcam 1 crank up speakers and enjoy

Well, that cool!

Any idea of how much and when traffic runs there?

LOTS of traffic, havent timed it out but there’s a train roughly every 15 min passenger and freight

Nice

We need one of those in the USA. I’d watch it all the time!

I just wish we could get the rochelle webcam to be like this one

Fascinating- in the ten-minute span that I watched, four freights (two each way) went through! Looks like Mierlo-Hout is a pretty dead town at 12:30 AM other than that…

Is that town located in the Netherlands?

…Wow…What a great site…Flowing video in real time…and the mic. is really sensitive…Great site.

Not sure just where in Europe it is…

Must be about 3 or 4 in the morning now as I took a peek. Saw several cars…One bounced over the tracks pretty rough.

Thanks for sharing…

PS: One can let the audio running and go on to check the other forum sites and still hear when a train is coming and switch back to see it.

Edit: Success…I just saw a train fly thru…Pretty good speed. And another one…{all tanks}, just abut 10 min. later…!

Nice find…way to go!!!

Comparing this webcam to all the other webcams is like comparing PS3 to Pong. All the other cams are pretty much boring.

Rochelle needs to put one up like that. I would pay for something like that

…Have the audio on this morning while looking at other threads and when I hear the crossing bells I can slip back and watch the train go past…What a great video cam and audio…!!!

WOW. I’ve been monitoring for about 10 minutes now, nice afternoon over there (about 1:40 PM their time)- birds are singing, alot of bicyclists going by, you can even hear them conversing- and four trains so far, one freight and three passenger.

What have I been doing wrong? I click on the Webcan 1 spot but all I get is a large blank box with a red X in the upper left corner that does nothing when I click on it.

…Sorry alphas…I can’t be much help. I bring up the site and yes, the black box appears and click on cam 1 and it takes a few seconds to bring up the live cam shot…But I do not get the red “X”.

I’ve been watching it quite a bit this evening an it is up and running. Lots of trains.

…As a side note…Just happen to realize there is no horn blowing for the crossing. Just the gates and of course the red flashing lights and the crossing does sound a warning bell type sound as the train approaches and until the gates are returned to the vertical position.

found the spot on a map…cant get a satellight image. On another site, im pretty sure you can get a clearer image of the area

With the red X and the black box, it has to do with the active-x. If your using internet explorer with the pop/add-on blocked, your going to have to allow it to add-on

Its 9:35pm central time, birds are chirping and in a few hours when the sun comes up, so do the roosters. Anybody else see chickens running around at all times of day?

Just saw a short passenger train go through. This is so cool! We need more of these !!

I can see why they run so many trains thru there. The longest freight train was 44 cars, intermodal 46 cars and passenger was 11 cars

Took a few minutes for a train to show up (passenger) thats pretty cool though!
