My First NS Gray Ghost

Western Nevada is not the hot bed of train activity like the SF Bay Area or Southern California, so we mostly have to wait a while to sight what others have seen already. I spotted my first NS gray ghost today and was able to get a shot.

The consist was; UP4168, NS9949 and UP4539. These units where powering an eastbound manifest which was most likely either a MRVRO or MRVNP.

Also, I got to see my first BNSF GEVO unit yesterday, even got a pic, though it wasn’t on the point.

Great catch, and very nice photo Jim! I love all the scenery. That’s calendar material for sure. Keep up the great work. Congrats on catching your first BNSF GEVO! [:)] Did it have the New Logo? Take care. [:)] Nick

Nick,

Thanks, I’m more an in-your-face type shooter, but do some of this to balance out the collection. Here’s my first BNSF ES44DC. BTW, loved the shot taken on the station platform, it was interesting to see the two others getting a shot too, very much conveys the excitment of the moment!

Jim

Very nice shot of the BNSF ES44DC, Jim! [:)] Keep up the great work!
