That’s an excellent looking start. Looking at the beginning phases of a layout always makes me yearn to start mine…But I have no space, nor a definite plan. But, with 2006, maybe maybe.[:D] Keep up the good work, and keep us posted with pics![tup]
Impressive! I couldn’t quite figure out the scale from the picture though. Any other details available (dimensions, lineside industries etc.)?
to me it looks like 4’x8’ and judging by how much track there is i bet it’s iNvisible scale
heyy everyone my dimensions are 4’x6 and a half and it is n scale. i hope you all like it thats alot of time and effort!
thanx!!!

It’s been a month since you posted this, Is there an update that I missed?

Since you asked what we think, I would recommend you repaint it an earth brown and then sprinkle on layers of ground cover of varying colors and textures to simulate grass and weeds. That area around a freight yard is not going to have a well manicured lawn which is what I am assuming the green paint is supposed to represent.
Keith,
Looks VERY nice. [tup] I’m sure you already have plans to but make sure you put a few more rail bumpers in your yard to avoild that “big drop” to the great unyielding, uncompromising cement floor below…[:)]
Tom
This is a great step towards your finished product. I can tell you do good work, so if you follow some of the previous suggestions, you should find yourself showing off a fine layout.
-Crandell
looks like a busy place to play to me, it should keep you entertained for hours at a time, and ditto to Crandells as always positive input.
Have fun & be safe,
Karl.
Very nicely done–I’m envious. Mind if I come over to run a few trains? [^]
