A good practice is to keep track of the bus and feeder wiring.
In this case, since the crossover required no gapping or special wiring, the two mainline tracks were wired in phase. No reverse polarity issues.
If you designate each rail as a separate color, say red and blue, it makes life easier. You can color each rail on your track plan, and that will show you if there is a reverse polarity issue where turnouts connect to other track. Any color mismatch indicates reverse polarity.
