I had created a post, that had to do with my graffiti, and um where is it?
Maybe it was taken off, due to most graffiti topics end up in a arguement.
Check your email; when I get a posting removed I always get a nastygram either from good ol’ Bergie himself or from one of his Sancho Panzas wrapping me across the knuckles for expounding intelligent reasoning–either that or for the use of $50.00 words!
Call the deletion a preemptive strike; Robby P.'s answer was exactly correct.

interesting, i didn’t know that.
I got it correct? You wait till I tell my wife, I finally got something right [:o)].
I think 99% thats why.
Sorry, TJ, I think I added to what would have been the start of the flame war.
I JOKINGLY said something like : What? you DARED deface a Chessie Car?
Sorry, if I may have gotten your post deleted.

Tjsingle, I sent you two explanatory emails, one each time I deleted your threads. If you didn’t receive them, you may want to check your junk mail or spam file and maybe enable emails from Kalmbach.
If you would like to hear from me directly with an explanation, please send me a PM.

Man as soon as someone doesn’t like the littleist thing the “CRY” button is hit. Then DONZ or someone else blocks it. No questions asked. It’s just like real life, some people can get away with murder while others can’t. If it’s that bad why block it, just delete it. Commom guys.
Mike
Mike,
Perhaps you should go back through the thread and actually read the responses again; you obviously missed a lot of information. I did not “block or delete it”…I merely explained to the OP that his thread had been deleted because our host, Kalmbach, doesn’t want the topic being discussed because the threads on graffitti always end up in a flame war.
No one is “getting away with murder”…

Being a moderator on 3 forums I can fully understand the action.
One of the many duties of a moderator is to know when to take action or when to take a watch and wait approach…
However, topics on well known flame baits like graffiti,DCC vs DC,Which DCC system is the best, among other “hot” topics should be nipped in the bud before developing into a 3 alarm fire.Nobody whats that.
So,the moderators did the right thing in order to keep a flame war from breaking out.
BTW…Just because a post is reported there is no guarantee action will be taken beyond being checked for rule volitions.
After all if there isn’t a rule infraction then there is no volition.
So what rule was violated by posting a graffiti thread?
Just the nature of a graffiti topic is grounds enough since these are well known flame baits that spread rapidly into a 5 alarm blaze…A preventive strike is warranted on these type of topics…
This is where common sense moderating demands such action in order to keep the forum enjoyable for all members and keep the peace.
Midnight, your question is a reasonable one. Bergie has informed us, the mods, and I think he has responded in similar threads in the past, that graffiti is vandalism…period… and that it shouldn’t be exalted or debated in our forum because it is contentious in its own right. It ranks up there with politics and the other no-no’s that result in tense and highly polarized debates/arguments/flame-fests.
So, I took it upon myself to delete the thread as soon as I encountered it.
