Well after playing with the software a bit more, and taking some of your all’s helpful tips into consideration, I offer for your consideration my third revision. I will be using atlas code 55 flex track on top of cork roadbed on a base of 2" foam.
Minimum radius is 11" and minimum turnout is #5. I know thats kind of tight, but space is limited. I plan on keeping the rolling stock size down though and using only 4 axle road switchers. Those big -8s will have to wait til I have a house I can put a decent sized layout in [:)]
As always, any constructive criticizm is welcome. I am a grownup and so far it is only exists as a computer file. Easier to change it now then later. Plus the 200 bucks in track and stuff I ordered hasn’t arrived yet [:p]
So this weekend I just plan on gluing all the foam pices together. They only had it in 2X8 sections where I bought it and even then I had to cut it in half to fit in my car! My living room is going to be a mess! hehe.
