Looks kinda like sheet rock, but I am guessing he is using that paper-like fiberboard. I haven’t seen that for sale in a while, bit that is what it reminds me of.

No, it’s Homosote. The plaster was from a previous layout. Homosote comes in 4x8’ sheets and was a great base for the yard.
The yard can hold around 300 cars when full. Each end can be worked by from two separate drill tracks. There is a separate arrival/departure yard and engine terminal around on the other side.
